We know the lunch boxes can be a challenge to monogram. We were asked by so many customers to please remove the top pocket (to allow for more monogram space), that we finally took it off. Now, some of you have some questions about how to embroider them, seal the stitches, etc. Here's what we say:
-It's okay to monogram through the top of the bag. All of our customers have stitched through the #137 Snack Squares for over 5 years now (which translates into around a hundred thousand snack squares) and they've been stitching through the lining on the top of the bag. As long as your customers aren't packing shrimp cocktail and caesar salad for their second graders, everything will stay cool enough with an ice pack for the morning, even with a name stitched through the insulation of the bag. Even a name like Francois.
-For our customers who don't love to see the stitching on the inside of the bag, we know that some of you are using an electrical-type tape found in places like Home Depot. It's silver, so it matches the top of the bag. It is NOT duct tape ("although it does fix everything"--if your husband is reading over your shoulder, I know he just said that). It hides the stitches.
-If you're using a tear-away backing, that could cause some issues. We advise using a cut-away backing so that you're not tugging at the stitching when you're finished.
