To Market, to Market...As usual, I had such a great time at the Atlanta Gift Market! It was nice seeing old friends and meeting new ones. We had lots of questions about applique, fonts and embroidery tips, so we thought we would jot some of them down here.

Did you see all of the great applique samples from Amy at The Flossy Fitzy? She does such a great job and it really adds another dimension to the mint product line (not to mention it allows you to charge more for these items). Some sites to purchase applique frames are planetapplique.com, appliquecafe.com and appliquemarket.com. Don't you just LOVE doing applique? I've used it to cover up oopsies--not that that happens very often! ;-)

The most popular fonts this go round were pupcat (from dafont.com) and 2 Peas Mister Giggles (from twopeasinabucket.com). Most truetype fonts easily can be converted into stitch files using your embroidery/digitizing software.

One friend said she had problems stitching the Seersucker Everything Totes because the rope handles interfered with her clamping system. We suggested she untie the knots, then clamp the bag, stitch and retie the knots when done--problem solved!

I know a lot of people were rushed with their visits due to flight cancellations and delays as a result of that dang ice/snow storm. Thanks for stopping by and checking out the new colors and styles. I always come back from Market refreshed and armed with new ideas. I hope you did, too. Did you get a chance to shop Cash and Carry? I got some of the cutest dresses and tops and brought back lots of trinkets for the Homemaker children. Can't wait to go back again in July!
