Peggy Daubenspeck of Wisconsin. She's going through an incredibly challenging time. I've never met her but from what I've heard & read, she's an amazing woman. You know we all celebrate strong, courageous moms & women here at Mint. If there was anyone who ever needed our support, Peggy is it. This mom is going through an extremely difficult time-she needs our thoughts and prayers. And here's why:
We're headed to Lubbock today to visit Joy's hometown & alma mater, Texas Tech. We've been invited to speak to Dean Fowler's class about FCB & Mint. So exciting! Joy started FCB around 20 years ago & I was lucky enough to get to throw some creative ideas around in here around 10 years ago. And now today we're off on another adventure. XO Christi
I just got a huge care package of items in from one of my customers, theflossyfitzy.com, stuffed FULL of items Amy appliqued & embroidered. They're outstanding! Jack & I photographed them on Sunday so you'll see the results of her work (& my lackluster photography skills) on the homepage carousel by the end of this week. Hey! Only 40 days until Black Friday. Did you know that just about every product in the mint line can be stitched on home embroidery machines? Yes, even those pesky nap rolls can be stitched by thinking a little bit outside the sewing box.
So...tomorrow is picture day. Tonight Jack got out of the bathtub & made me smell his hair twice. "Are you sure it smells like cherries?" What? The next thing that seemed a little strange was the half-hour he spent deciding between a lilac & a navy tie (!) for picture day. What happened to a cute polo shirt and jeans? He's wearing khakis and a belt. Something's going on & I'm going I'm going to have to get to the bottom of this! What's her name? XO Christi
4 weeks until Atlanta & we're almost ready to go. Samples monogrammed, order forms printed, catalogs on the way. The website should be updated in time, new products are on the way to ship, which I hope will be ready to ship mid-July! Watch the home page for sneak peeks of the new styles. XO Christi
